Air Malawi Limited is the national airline or flag-carrier for the Republic of Malawi, wholly owned by the government.
The has its headquarters is in Blantyre, Malawi with Chileka International Airport, Blantyre as its main base and Kamuzu International Airport, Lilongwe as its operational hub.
The airline began operations in 1964 as a subsidiary of Central African Airways. In 1967, an independent national airline was formed, after the dissolution of the latter, to concentrated on international, regional and domestic routes. For over 42years, the airline has earned the reputation for safety, customer service and punctuality.
